A cold front may be coming, but that doesn’t mean your social life has to suffer. Our favourite frost-bitten excursion? A quick jaunt around the ice rink, of course. Whip out those skates collecting dust in your closet and embrace winter wonderland.
Lucky for us, Parc La Fontaine converts its largest pond, and a delightful labyrinth of frozen streams, into a free skating paradise every winter. If you don’t have your own equipment, rent skates out at this plateau mainstay for $7. This tree-lined gem promises carefree fun complete with a changing room to stash your boots, tunes on the outdoor speakers, and plenty of cafés nearby to grab some hot cocoa.
