If you want a quick, penny-pinching lunch without having to resort to the sketchy food court, a visit to Café Town is a must.
At Café Town, you won’t find yourself cramped at a bar, screaming your order to the waiter over the lunch crowd. This quaint café has a beautiful, relaxed ambiance and a fantastic mini-terrace. It offers healthy, affordable options like the baby spinach salad with gorgonzola, walnuts, and honey, or the prosciutto and spinach sandwich drizzled with balsamic – all at around $10.
However, their whipped-up-daily specials will become any Bandit’s BFF. For a mere $8.50 – the price of a Quarter Pounder with fries and a coke – you can get a generous helping of a homemade soup or salad, one of their fabulous, gourmet sandwiches, plus a coffee to round off your meal. Although the special is chef’s choice, you’re guaranteed to love anything coming from this kitchen.
Best of all, all students and employees downtown get a 10% discount. So while there’s no free lunch, Café Town may just be the healthiest option for your wallet (and your bod).
